Definitely not yet! I came from a 65hp N/A car to this with 192hp, so stock power is more than enough for me right now.

the fucking 1060 that I bought came in the mail and its DOA, but the CPU that came is like a rocket ship compared to the i3 it replaced. Just really pissed about the 1060 being dead. The dude that sold it to me is immediately saying "you put it in wrong, you broke it not my fault it worked fine when I mailed it"...liar. I reinstalled windows after wiping my hard drive, updated the bios on my MoBo (all things that were suggested when doing my troubleshooting). Now I have to get EBAY involved as well as paypal if I want my money back, which sounds like itll take weeks. But this guy aint getting one over on me. Looks like he had a watercooler on his CPU and it blew up, the back (top side) of the card's PCB board has a residue all over it, and it goes around to the bottom...some of the stickers have been affected, etc. Not very happy and really pissed that someone got over on me. Anyway, I found another 1060 Zotac AMP! Edition for a few bucks more than the one that sucks, so ill buy that and hopefully have my PC up and running again. I did use integrated graphics to start up and check CPU, its working flawlessly, and on the Banana Bench, on stock clocks, I managed about 130 m/beams. so thats better than my old CPU, and miles ahead of the CPU i bench'd back in 2014...That one got like 8 m/beams total i think lol (AMD A6-3400M)

I passed my drivers license test, I'll be able to get my license from DMV in a few days but I have to fix the fact that one of my instructors spelled my last name wrong on the paperwork

D'OH!! How annoying. When I passed my license test (god, like 12 years ago) I got a 65/100, and 64 or less was failing. What took 35 points off? Starting the test off going the wrong way down a 2 way street. Yea, that was embarrassing. But you should have a paper copy that will allow you to drive for the time being until you get your legit hard copy, no?

Wait, hold up a second... Are you telling me that they will still pass someone even after they drove down the wrong side of the road on their driving test?

I passed my test on first go, but instructor did complain about me not paying enough attention to pedestrians. Now what they could do to me, I was driving a truck? :D

I don't think that there was a driving test in all states at old days though, like 70's and so?

When my grandfather was getting his lorry license, he was asked to do an emergency stop. Because this was the pre seatbelt days, the instructor ended up in the footwell

The rear end is giving me AMG GTR vibes. But perhaps the front is more Bumblebee?

Well I kinda based the rear end off of a Porsche (note the sloping roof, spoiler, and the taillights).

Sounds like there may be trouble with my Escort (1.9L, manual).

Its sound has suddenly started to include a deep, bassy, almost "water in the tailpipe" burble; the sound is heard almost exclusively from the tailpipe - sound from up front seems pretty normal, though I suspect if you really listen closely it can sound a little bit deeper and... maybe smoother? The whole package reminds me of my old Sunbird when it wasn't really healthy but was still months away from its massive bucking/shaking ring failure. (It showed these traits especially strongly after I'd spent 20 minutes or so revving the snot out of it trying to rock my way out of over-bumper-height snow and was also spitting out sooty water and showing CEL at the time, but seemed to improve back to normal over time; the Escort as of yet does not show a light or spew soot). I tried to take a video with my crummy phone camera, which does kind of show the difference between the sound from the tailpipe and the sound from everywhere else.

I did hear a little bit of afterfire on that last rev which is not normal for this car, but reminds me a lot of the Sunbird which seemed to get more "unburned fuel cooking off in the exhaust" sounds the longer I drove it, but unfortunately my potato cellphone camera/mic didn't pick it up. Has had unexpexted ultra-high-idle stuff going on for the past couple of days, but it seems to be gone today... instead, it tried to chug out in "low idle" i.e. the lower idle RPM that it goes to if you put it in gear but just let it idle with the clutch disengaged (which is another thing the Sunbird would do intermittently, but it may have something to do with the fact that it seems to be running low on clutch fluid as well).

I tried sniffing the exhaust to help figure out what was going on; at one point it smelled somewhat rich and very "GM V6ey", another time it smelled like pretty much nothing with hints of ammonia or chlorine?

If it's a ring failure in progress, I really can't afford that right now, though judging by the way the Sunbird went I probably have some time before it starts to self-destruct (though it's probably my fault again, this time for taking way too long to change the oil rather than putting too much in). Given all that, do any of you know enough about this stuff to know if it would be able to bandage the situation and keep the engine going?

This is probably not the best place for this, but whatever. GD is gone.

I watched a video that had parts of this year's Youtube Rewind, and I'm not joking, the bits and pieces of Youtube Rewind made me feel like my face actually wanted to melt right off my skull like that scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark. I really couldn't stand it at all.

I heard it was predicted to eventually become the most disliked video. I guess Justin Bieber can probably sleep a little better at night now, knowing that the music video of one of his most hated songs is no longer the #1 most disliked video on Youtube.

And if Youtube can't even bother to accurately represent their OWN platform, then Rewind needs to be scrapped.

My guess would be to use THICC oil in order to increase compression/reduce piston slap, bu that’s a last-last ditch effort. Just drive it very conservatively and it should last a little bit longer.

Edit: did you check you O2 sensor/MAF?

Not yet, but that was the one suggestion i got on Reddit (i.e. that place where any request for actual help gets wordlessly and anonymously downvoted to keep anyone from seeing it and giving help). If that went bad it would explain why this happened all at once.

About to check MAF sensor now, and also check the intake tube for oil.

If I were to completely stop wasting money on junk food and car magazines, I could maybe be able to afford the engine out of another junker Escort. At least, I hope. This being a 1996 is going to severely cramp my options, unless I can upgrade to a 1997-up 2.0L.

On a somewhat related note, if I could get hold of a capture card (or two) and was able to start streaming "classic" (i.e. 2013 and older) games, how many of you would I be able to count on to become regular viewers?

UPDATE: Intake tube seems free of oil, which is a good sign, though the car hasn't been run yet today. Throttle body likewise seems free of liquid oil, though rubbing your finger inside the bottom of said throttle body will contaminate it with that greasy black grime soap and water never seem sufficient to deal with. I can't get the MAF sensor out to clean because the people who designed this thing thought it would be funny to use goofy fasteners that can't be removed with standard tools.
