Windows 10 has too many compatibility issues to be useful for playing older games (mostly pre 2008 or so). On top of that, my current PC has hardware that is not supported by older versions of Windows (mostly the X570 chipset, though the 5700 XT might be an issue too).

Anyways, I am wondering if anyone here has any experience with trying to get 7 to work on 3rd gen Ryzen PCs, and with a Navi GPU (5700 XT).

You should install Windows 7 in a VM. my friend Angelo gave me and I used that to finish my pc. but I wanted to run old pre-2005 games on it. so I just used win XP / 7 on a VM.
