Will it work on my laptop? Sorry is this is a dumb question.

Hi Everyone,

This is my first time here and I apologise if this is a dumb question. My laptop doesn't meet the minimum requirements but I wondered if the game would still run. For me this would mean wiping Linux and reinstalling Windows just to try it out, but I don't want the do that needlessly.

My laptop is a Microsoft Surface Laptop Go 2. 11th Gen Intel® Core™ i5-1135G7 × 8, 8gb ram, Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics (TGL GT2).

I'm guessing the answer would be no but I wondered if someone here had more experience.

I have a very similar Laptop and i can say it will not work properly, you need to set the graphics to very low and you will barely get 25-40 fps. Your laptop probably could run it in medium graphics, but it will not be so playable

 

Have the same specs and it works but it is not nice at all. Very low at 900p and still get under 30fps at wcusa with traffic.

 

My machine has awful integrated graphics, and a 7th gen i5 with 8 GB of RAM (I also have a 6 GB swap file), it runs quite well on light maps on lowest graphics. It can handle heavier maps, but you'll probably get like 20 fps. I recommend you keep Linux (It runs better) and increase the amount of Swap (to 6-12 GB), because otherwise big maps will freeze your PC while loading.
