Why is there a "repo" folder in my main mods folder?

Hello everyone, I think this is my first time starting a thread on here. Just wanted to ask, does anyone know what the "repo" folder is about in the main mods folder of the game? It's been bugging me a lot lately because some of the mods from the main folder are repeated (copied) in the repo folder which causes the game to detect those mods as duplicates. If anyone knows how to get rid of this folder once and for all (as it keeps appearing even after deleting it multiple times) it would be greatly appreciated.

 

It's for the repository mods you download either from subscribed mods here on the forums, or the repository ingame. Its part of the game and cant be deleted.

 

I'm not too familiar with any of that lol.... Do you recommend any other method for downloading mods from here? The reason for asking about this issue is that (as mentioned in the first post) the mods appear as duplicates when running BeamNG drive which cause my computer to slow down and freeze for a while as the game deals with the duplicated mods.

 

wel it can be deleted.. you just lose your mods that you downloaded using the ingame menus

 

You are not supposed to delete that. It contains all of the mods you have downloaded through the game's repo menu.

 

just put all the mods you download into repo to start with and you wont have any problems

I don't remember adding any mods from within the game itself though :/

 

if you delete it just click update all ingame and it wil download icu
