I have a GTX 1650 super with 12gb of ram and 512gb of storage, I play at only 1366x768 resolution and beamng runs poorly. I play at lowest settings and turn off all unnecessary settings. it runs at a smooth 60 fps on a normal map but whenever i spawn ai vehicles it drops down to 20 fps. i only play with 6 ai vehicles. can someone help me improve my frame rate?? my pc runs other games smoothly at 1080p, 120fps, and with shaders, but beamng just doesnt run good even when everything is turned down.
You might also be spawing too many AI vehicles. Mine starts to lag at around 8, but thats fine for driving around and police chases. How many do you spawn in?
like i said, 6. --- Post updated --- i do have quite alot, but i havent noticed any change in performance while downloading mods. --- Post updated --- a pretty good one, im not too sure which one because im not on my pc right now, im getting ready to go to sleep.
You have BeamNG on HDD or SSD? It can lag when you spawn 6+ cars on HDD --- Post updated --- Btw I notised lags when using more than 5 cars on SATA SSD. PC spec - I5 9600k (Yes it cant handle 5+ cars with 2K), RTX2060s, 16ram, 2k monitor. Game runs on mid-ultra graphics. But when I start using M2/NVME SSD, even with 5 cars and 95% load of CPU I havent notice lags
Cpu would have to be the culprit, I can spawn up to 18 vehicles with my GTX 1650 4Gb, 16 Gb of ram and an AMD Ryzen 9 5900X.
But when I start using M2/NVME SSD, even with 5 cars and 95% 5900X is a monster) (My 5Ghz 6c/6t CPU looking at graphics - 2k, ultra and crying ahahah)
Are you sure that your HDMI Cable is plugged into your gpu and not your motherboard? You're probably using integrated graphics...
poor poor 1650 lmao, that 5900x is probably wondering why there isnt a 3070/80nthere yet.. OT: Need to know what the cpu is, because if it cant handle a lot of AI, it does become laggy, quick.
Well, I built the system on a rather tight budget and wanted it as complete as possible for the long run. So I decided to cheap out on the GPU and replace just it later when(or seemingly if) GPU prices eventually fall.
