I personally think it's a brilliant game - it's free, is constantly updated with new things, I love the art style, and it's really satisfying to win. However, a lot of people I know say "oh fortnite is the worst game in the world errrrrr pubg h1z1 (insert other battle royale game) is so much better" So why do so many people dislike Fortnite? I genuinely want to know.
If there was a option for "I don't like br games" in the voting section that's what I would vote for. I will give credit where credit is due and Fortnite is very well polished and the devs seem to care about the community unlike pubg's devs.
They also tried to sue Epic Games because they apparently "stole" from PUBG. Thank god that whole debacle is over...
Probably the same reason as other games like FNAF and Minecraft. . . kids, especially ones who are very immature. Plus people who makes themselves hate anything popular. Personally I have no problem with Fortnite. It's probably not my cup of tea, but it doesn't bother me.
Was it because of the reason I listed in my previous post? Also, somehow I never really heard of Fortnite (seriously, I mean it). The only way I knew of it's existence was because of a few of the students in my latest school year discussing about the game (and the igcb listing).
That, and the fact that I really, really hate it. At the time it was most popular, it was like The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones, there was absolutely no escape from it. Didn't want to constantly hear about it nonstop? Well too bad, you were going to hear it anyway. Annd the fandom didn't help things either. Even today I still find it super easy to run into Underturd stuff when you really don't want to. Also, I hate Sans, like, a lot. I'm legit shocked it hasn't gone from positive to negative reviews on Steam by now. I'd definitely rather give Fortnite a try than Underturd. But I digress.
I don't really care about battle royale games anyways. I'm more into racing, simulator, and a few fighting games. Not saying I'm not open into other game genres, but Battle Royale isn't that interesting to me TBH.
It depends on how big the player-base is. The bigger the player-base is, the more likely it will have toxic children and trolls. Just my two cents...
woooosh --- Post updated --- Also Fortnite has been around for a year now. I think it's time for the spotlight to move to a better game (Note: I don't want the spotlight to move to BeamNG because it's nice to play a game when it's underground. Small, tight-knit community, non-toxic player base. If the spotlight comes to BeamNG, expect toxic 9-year olds complaining about how the game costs 25$ "when you could simply sell the cars with Beam Bucks and make the game free" Also expect you tubers to make clickbait videos about the game "WE SNUCK INTO BEAMNG HQ! (NOT CLICKBAIT)" "WE LEAKED THE ITALY MAP!!!!!! (GONE WRONG)" "GUMBALL IN BEAMNG???? NO WAI (BTW the video is just a picture of Gumball photoshopped onto the beamng logo)"
