here's one of my ideas:
its a broken down covet with missing parts, blown windows, and deflated tires. it also has a role-cage and skid plate to represent armor.

I'd probably modify an old T-Series Box Truck, give it massive bull bars, steel plates/fencing over the windows, a modified T600 Turbo Charger 10.6L I6, Move the Gas Tanks to the back of the cab to improve off road capabilities and cover the tanks in steel sheets, chunky off road tires, and convert the Cargo Box area into living quarters, a bit like this Model I found online.

OT: If I had to pick a vehicle it would either be the Sunburst Rally or D-series Marauder.
