So all the awesome mods I have don't seem to have been getting updated. So they're still the old V8 sound, no separate exhaust sound etc.. What exactly is involved in changing them over to the new setup? I suspect something like, "engine sound location = nodeXX" and "exhaust sound location = nodeXX" etc..
yep, you might have to define the "isexhaust" parameter to the exhaust beams if it's really old. But otherwise, slapping some soundconfig sections into the engine jbeam, and choosing the right existing samples should overall do the trick.
If mod is really old, it may not have proper powertrain, some don't have pressure tires even and you need to build all that I believe.
I'm looking at the LKS Prerunner, the Corsa mods of the Bolide, and a few others - all recent, just "silent" from a distance :'(
The Corse Bolide isn't gonna be updated soon...the creator, @NinetyNine! is still active but is no longer doing mods after some Russians got their hands on a mod he was making some time ago. I feel bad for him because he was a great modder and clearly put tons of love and time into his stuff only for it to get plagiarised
Literally everything you said was wrong He did not leave because his work got stolen by Russians, and he is still modding. He literally did a modding stream on the weekend...
Well that's good news, I'm absolutely in love with the Bolide mod, was my fav before the new sound update (as was always in my videos!)
You don't know old then, world before mobile phones, cars without fuel injection or catalysators, leaded fuel, products actually made someplace else than China, people actually being able to talk without being filmed / recorded, world surely is not the same as it used to be, hubwheels were quite recent short period of time, quite happy that everyone has pressurewheels now though
literally just copy/paste the soundconfig lines of JBEAM from an developer made car into your engine jbeam and adjust the sound ingame by using CTRL+F9 and then hit 'copy to clipboard' and over-right the old sound config parameters with the one you copied. if you wanted to do it on your own --- Post updated --- made some edits to my post. it was a big ambiguous
