Hello fellow forums members, if you have not yet made the connection, i was the creator of two mods that are fairly simple but also very needed in my opinion. Anyways to get to the point of this thread. I would like to know what sort of mods the community would like modders to make. This excludes maps and vehicles as they take too long to create and often get abandoned but also skins and configs as they are ultra easy to make and basically just clutter up the forums and repo. So what I am talking about are simple mods that provide variation to the already ingame vehicles but also to make the game more fun, such as my wheel hub mod. Thanks for reading and leave your suggestions and/or ideas below. If there are any decent ideas I may PM you and ask for permission to possibly turn your idea into a mod and give you full credit for the idea. CreasingCurve
Different sort of safety fuel tanks to prevent fires from happening after heavy crashes. I've sick of it, that whenever I have some fun, the cars start to burn up after the fuel tank pops (ahem, even the diesel cars, which is very rare in real life). So, it shouldn't be that hard to come up with some solutions for that issue. Here's couple examples of what sort of fuel tanks are used in certain different car stuff. Of course, the cheap DIY-trick for destruction derby cars is to use outboard motor fuel tanks, like this: Usually they are positioned either like that, behind the driver, or on the passenger side floor. Then there is of course these safery racing fuel tanks, that are used in track racing, rally racing, overall in all professional racing: These fuel cells can last pretty much anything. Hopefully someone would be interested to do that, I know couple guys, who would need these.
I don't really care if vehicle is just two single color boxes as long as it handles and drives somewhat like a real car with working suspension. I do appreciate those very beautiful models, textures and shaders, but it is not important, after all I'm perfectly happy playing with i3 without dedicated graphics card, everything set to lowest possible it is smooth with 1 or 2 cars which is plenty for me, so if modder makes a mod that is easier and faster to create by making simple graphics, but focus on how vehicles handle instead, that is perfect for me. But I guess I'm alone in this camp.
Definitely! I have my own home made fuel cell made out of 1/8th inch steel. No pic at the moment of it, but would be great instead of having the car burst into flames from the trunk getting hit!
Fully modifiable aerodynamic, engine tuning, beamStrength and beamDeform, tire grip values. Kinda a like this mod: http://www.beamng.com/resources/sunburst-tunable-aerodynamics-1-0.829/ For all the cars. (Look in the tuning menu, you'll see all the options) Could be an add-on/update to the CreasingCurves modifiable engines mod.
Wheel spacers? basically like a wheel hub that goes on the wheel hub, that way you could have a wider wheel base than the game would normally allow.
But you already have, from Enviroment, just check box labeled "Play". What do you mean that is not reality? Is there something beyond BeamNG?
Based on what the ideas and suggestions section of this forum contains, they want mom's car in game as well as the town they live in.
I could easily do this with my wheel hub mod, as each of the suspensions i had to add wheel hubs to has the a suspension file and the track width could easily be modified.
No, I meant more in the sense of having physical wheel spacers that go on like wheels and have an attachment for a wheel to go on(or another spacer.)
If cars were involved. More modern vehicles. Everyone wants old cars which is no fun. Aside from that, i'd say more types of tires. Like winter, summer, all season tires if that is even possible. Racing slicks would kill you in the rain.
Since aircraft aren't even mentioned at all in the OP, I'd like to see aircraft compatible with 0.8 and newer versions.
A twin turbo DOHC engine and an all wheel drive converson for the late 90s pessima, Why because the current GTZ Pessima lacks a spiritual successor.
