I know that "Beam" refers to the structure "Beam" of games but what does "NG"

wow, i was wondering about this for a few seconds just today.. and i figured it must be something with "nodes", like "Beam-Nodes-Game". Huhh, i'm glad i told no one about it! .. oh sh**

 

In my head it's always sounded like "beam engine". Closely, anyway

 

I always thought it was a play on words as NG sounds sort of like engine if you say it in a weird enough accent. Then again, it's just a name the guys came up with, nothing really to worry about.
