Got the American Racing rims onto my dad's truck. I know, it looks horrendous with that fake hood scoop on [he wanted his truck to look like Roush modified his truck.] (Image taken at a Tim Horton's parking lot this morning.)
Since this thread is for all kinds of vehicles, not only cars... Here's a pic from my '84 Tunturi Tiger. I replaced the old broken air filter. After that I drove about 1 hour and 30 min with it and it was fun. Yes, I know, it's only 50cc and it goes about 50-55 km/h with 15mm Dell'orto and Metrakit muffler... Soon I will swap a frame from '86 or '87 Tiger S (not sure about it) and paint it red because I can. And I will put some black (original) fenders on it too.
Took the wiper motor of the old '55. Took it apart to clean it put it all back together, and wiggled it back up behind the dash (that access is terrible) and it still won't run the arms. The vacuum motor itself will run back and forth but I don't think it has enough power to move the arms. Anyone know any tricks to get more power out of it?
Update on the wiper motor, took it apart once again to put son petroleum jelly on the seal on the flapper inside and now it doesn't work. So, I broke down and am going to order a electric conversion kit for it in Monday.
Bought a moped a week ago. Still trying to get it running. Got spark coming from the magneto. No spark from the coil/plug wire. 6 volt magneto, new 6 volt coil. still no spark.
Got a new chain and sprocket kit fitted to the bike - might post pics tomorrow of the old 30 year old rear sprocket... I honestly have no idea how it wasn't slipping. - also, fitted sprockets are slightly different dimensions to the originals, will have to see if the top speed is still 65mph.
Fixed the odometer in my '91 gauge cluster and rolled it back. Now all the gauges work. I rolled the odo because the old one had been broken for ~10 years so I have no idea how many miles are on this car, other than it's probably over 200k. So I just rolled it to like 999997 and drove it for a few miles to make sure my odo works. Yesterday I put in the new hinges so my hood opens easily. Alternator is still dead weight though..
Last night I painted the back wheels and wired in a switch that hopefully bypasses the overdrive relay, but haven't driven it yet so I dunno if it works.
I put it up for sale :'( http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/262459457940?_trksid=p2060353.m1431.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
