My mom's first car was a 1982 Nissan Sentra hatchback. The previous owner was a heavy smoker, and it smelled like you'd expect. It was also pretty rusty. My mother sold it to the scrapyard for $300. My dad's first "car" was a 1979 Ford F100 Ranger. With a short bed and a single cab, chrome wagon-spoke wheels with white-letter tires, striping, and a blacked-out grille, it was "pretty sporty". It looked like this, but not lifted and with smaller wheels, plus a black grille insert. The wheels were like these, but OEM.
from what i know my father owned 1. 79 ford LTD 2.78 ford f250 3. 74 chevy c/k with some sort of built motor and trans 4.79 ford mustang v8 that was completely clapped out. My mother said when my dad picked her up it was leaning to the right cause the suspension was completely collapsed on that side lol. My father also told me it only ran for about 20 minuets before it would just all of a sudden die and hed have to wait for like 10 minutes before it'd start again. 5.95 taurus 6.04 taurus 7. bright orange 02 dodge dakota that my father straight piped and it had the worst transmission known to man that never shifted right(i thought it was so cool as a little kid tho) 8. 08 nissan titan 9. mint all original almost rust free 79 ford f250 custom brown metalic with orange stripes and a white roof with the 460 and a 3 speed auto which my father had recently paid a transmission shop to rebuild the trans so it was perfect. everything worked, it even had working cruise control and cold AC!. i have many fond memories of my father occasionally picking me up from school in it. Wed also take it on weekends to the park to play with the dog. We took it to watch fire works and i remember helping him work on it as a kid. We eventually moved and that truck pulled a heavy trailer 7 hours drive no issues(i told my father so many times i wanted to buy it off him as my first car but he straight up traded it with a guy for a crappy yukon denali cause for some reason he hates carbed motors even tho this truck was turn key and would fire right up no issue every time.) ive seen it i live in a small town so i ran across it one day sitting in a back yard on cement bricks in peices. its still there to this day the same way in peices slowly rotting in the rain 10. 04 gmc yukon denali 11. the 04 tukon was again traded with a guy for a 94 ford bronco we worked on fixing up together(it needed a crap load of suspension work) and was supposed to be my first car when i turned 16. But the trans blew and there wasnt money to fix it so it was sold. 11. 05 toyota avalon 12. 14 mazda 6(is my car now) 13. 19 kia optima my mothers visually impared and has never owned a car.
Those are sweet. You should ask that guy if he's willing to sell it to you. I'll bet that would be a cool restoration project.
my father also had a vaz 2108, which essentially belonged to my uncle, but his driver’s license was taken away.
Their coolest ones were a heavily modified land rover defender 110, a triumph 2500 with a rebuilt engine and custom parts, and currently an alfa romeo stelvio veloche
