Microsoft official or 3rd party clone, wired or wireless? Does make a difference.

Try using "02A1045E.inputmap.cs" as a base, just look up whatever you're trying to do in there, I have a feeling it'll be the same for yours.

Also place your new inputmap in a new folder called "custom" inside the imputmaps folder, this will keep it from being overwritten when you update the game.

Go to your drivers list and select your controller and reinstall. Google it youll see.

Incidentally, I resolved the issue by renaming the existing 360 controller file to match what the game was looking for.

apparently not all 360 controllers are PnP. the aftermarket ones have different names/identifiers/etc. there's some crap you have to go through to get it to work i dont even remember what i did but it's low level notepad hacking business. hope the next thing they work on is better controller support...

yes, according to my windows search, i don't even have a torque3d.log file. again, way over my head by like step 2

    - - - Updated - - -

I don't even know what that means :c the only notepad scripting i've done is write a simple respawn script for arma 2. so i'm totally lost when it comes to anything more complicated.
