WIP Beta released West Coast USA (Winter Edition) 3.1

Title is what it is. A Winter Edition of the good old map "West Coast USA". It's always been a map I wanted snow on and icey roads so here it is! There isn't any significant changes as of yet and there's lots to be done.

Also, I am going to consistently update this Main Thread like below titling the dates and whats been changed as well as coloring the things in "To Be Done" in green to mark done.

I am asking for help from anyone who's Familiar with map making or with repainting/art

To Be Done:
- Add Snowy Materials
- Add some snowmen around the map (There is a secret Santa on the map, good luck finding him!)
- Potentially add custom Snowy objects
- Add Ice/Snow to Buildings, Roads, Tree's, Objects etc
- Redo Thumbnails
- Fix other various info for the map - info.json and spawn titles
- Potentially replace the existing water with solid Ice (will probably have to be an object)
- Add Snow

What's Been Done Thus Far:
- Made it a separate Map from the Original WCUSA


Update Part 1: (09/11/2021)

Successfully covered all parts of the map in snow. I now need some help with repainting bushes, tree's and other various objects to look either icey or snowy.

Update Part 2: (09/11/2021)

- Successfully added snow around the map as well as ice (which covers 80% of the roads. Race Track, Tunnels and dirt tracks not included)
- Precipitation (Snow falling)
- Backdrop fully covered in snow

Update Part 3: (09/11/2021) - First Release - First release will be 1st of December
- Added new thumbnails (not the best quality, will eventually get better ones)
- Added a custom Santa model from Sketchfab (credits to bharathsrk13 from Sketchfab)

Update Part 4: (01/12/2021) - Beta Release, Updates will continue over the upcoming weeks.
- Added newer thumbnails (added snowflakes, im aware of the wrong sizes on each thumbnail)
- Added more of the custom Santa around the map. Have fun looking for them!

Regardless, it's still a very cool idea I'd like to see in game

 

but it will still be epic

 

Im not American so how can i know that? Plus, it's just a game, and it's just BeamNG Drive, i dont think it's suppose to represent San Francisco regardless.

The Chads Holiday is now in WCUSA, amazing!

Quick question, do you plan to add some Christmas Theming to the shops and such (an example being a Holiday Sale at the Car Dealership)? Or it is just going to be the snow?

 

Will there be less traction on roads because of the snow?
