West Coast USA Performance?

Firstly, I'm not here to complain about the map size or complexity, I'm just curious if I'm doing anything wrong or it's the expected behavior...

I'm not at home right now, and I can't reach my desktop for testing, so I tried West Coast USA on my laptop, here's the specs:

Asus x550ln
Intel core i7 4510u
8gb ram 1600mhz
nVidia gt840m 2gb

I know it has very weak specs, but I play on the lowest settings @ 1280x720, and I can reach over 100fps on gridmap, around 50fps on East Coast USA for example...

But when I tried West Coast USA, it was disastrous

I'm getting around 14fps With just one car, with the same graphics settings said above, I tried going in World Editor and lowered draw distance from 4000 to 1000, and still wasn't even close to 20fps...


So, is the new map that complex? Should I stop trying it on my laptop?


OBs: I tried before and after the hotfix, still stuck at ~15fps

Weird. I just got a new PC and got 16fps with 8 cars on the default settings.

 

My lord... I can barely run Gridmap,I'm 99.9 percent sure if I loaded the new map my computer would instantly explode.

I can run East Coast wit 2 cars 40fps, Same with Utah, but West Coast was a disaster (7fps).
By disabling shadows, I got 30 fps with 4 cars, but it looks hideous without shadows.
Sad.

 

I have an Asus Q550LF, i7 4500U, GT745M. Lowest settings I can get full physics with 4 cars on WCUSA, not sure the exact FPS. Similar enough system, so you really should be getting more FPS. Have you tried the other maps recently or were those old numbers? My laptop did not appreciate recent Windows and Nvidia updates, but that got worked out. Take another look through your settings. The update reset settings for some people and I think one or two things are causing problems right now, dynamic reflections being one. See if the in-game performance help tab is suggesting anything. Not really a computer guy, can't offer any better advice, sorry.

 

tried it on my quadro 2000. It was like watching shit blend

 

vsync on/all to hight/dynamic reflection off-im geting 60 fps and some time it drop at 50 fps when going to close in the city with one car only, while in all other mapp i get 100 fps+ if i turn off the vsync with dynamic reflection on.. pc spec-i5-7600k/zotac gtx 1060 6gb amp/12gb ddr4 2400mhz,, the new map is clearly not optimized at all

the ram/cpu/gpu is not the prob here on beamng.. the new map is clearly not optimized at all,, while i can maxed out on gta 5-cod ww2-rising storm vietnam to soo
