I just bought my first sim rig and I calibrated everything, set up all my settings and tried BeamNG. This is the performance I get with FFB enabled. I usually run Beam at ultra with zero issues and in the video its set at normal and still getting horrible stutters. I have to drop my settings down alll the way to lowest to get a playable experience. And I'm on a relatively powerful PC, do you really need a 5k dollar computer just to run Beam with a decent wheel? Or am I potentially doing something wrong?

If you disable FFB, does the issue still persist? I've had quite a few issues with my Xbox controller when FFB is enabled.

Yup it still stutters with FFB turned off in the settings, it only stutters when my sim is running. Doesn`t seem to like running my wheel, I have slight stutters in AC but race room runs perfectly fine with the sim on. In all my research over the past few years nowhere did anyone say anything about wheels having a huge performance impact. And this is rough, having to turn it down to lowest is crazy. especially on a strong pc.

Edit: I can`t even play with the settings at lowest. The second I start moving the game has a meltdown. And even with settings at ultra, afterburner claims I'm getting over 60 fps. Huge bummer, I wanna try my sim out lol. Shit ton of money invested, I got the sim explicitly for Beam so this frustrates me.

Have you tried running the game in safe mode?

I haven`t yet, tried vulkan awhile ago and it didn't make much difference. After some messing about i`ve noticed the stuttering even on my controller so something is messing with Beam that ISNT my Moza wheel, these issues just decided to pop up the day I got my wheel so I immediately assumed the wheel was what caused the problems.. Going to update my pc, update my nvidia drivers, try safe mode and see what happens. Wish me luck!
