Buying a high mileage car in career mode doesn't feel like a gamble. Sure automatic transmissions slip more and engine idle is rough, but what about worn suspension or brakes or tyres or synchros? What about engine damage/lost hp due to age/bad maintenance? Interiors also look brand new. Btw is paint faded on older vehicles? Not sure about that one

Due to negligence, brake pads could be changed to cheaper/basic variant

Paint does have fade on cars with more miles I'm pretty sure. Or maybe it's tied to age, unsure

Faded paint is tied to the milage. Real engines don't really lose any hp when they're older, at least not if they get basic maintenance, but they do get a little easier to break when pushing them too hard. Interior is a good point tho. I'd like to see dirty/worn down seats, suncracks in the dashboard, dirty and neglected cars in general. Badly repaired rust spots, hanging exhaust, badly repaired crash damage with body parts in different colors. Proper beater cars.
