    My config:
    CPU: Ryzen 5 5600X
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 with 8gb of VRAM
    RAM: 3200MHZ 32GB
    OS: Windows 11 Home
Main SSD: 1TB 7200MB/s of reading speed
    Headset: Oculus Quest 2

Even in low settings it lag a lot and in ultra low it is still snappy a bit and you cannot see the cars comming.

Have you checked what your VRAM usage is? From what I’ve heard FPS will tank if your VRAM maxes out.

after updating oculus drivers, it is WAYY better but I still cannot go higher than low for it to be playable and low graphic settings are REALLY BAD.

As the devs have stated, VR is extremely experimental, and extremely unstable.
It is extremely taxing on your system, and is just unoptimized in general.
You probably can't fix these issues just yet.

Honestly it isn't really a hardware issue, it's the unstable Vulcon Launcher, and the fact that VR is very unstable with it and is in an experimental state right now.
Upgrading your GPU won't really fix the issues that are present with the software, I've pretty much got the same Specs as you but I have an MSI RTX 4060ti and it can barely run the VR stuff, but for other VR platforms/games like Pavlov, Assetto Corsa, Boneworks, Halflife Alyx, and so on VR Works just fine and smoothly for me. It's also not an Oculus issue cause I'm using a Valve Index, and one of my buddies has an HTC Vive and is experiancing the same issues.

The main problem with the Quest 2 as a PCVR headset is that it doesn't have video in, only data in. This means that your GPU has to work hard to encode the video for the headset, and the headset has to work hard to decode it. This introduces a lot of overhead and lag for both the PC and headset, so please keep that in mind. Also, BeamNG (and most other things) work way better in SteamVR, as Oculus software is just absolute shite. I had a Quest 2 for 2 years, recently upgraded to a Reverb G2, and it's a world of difference. Having a direct wired video connection to the headset solves a lot of issues, and because of that I can run the game at 1728x1728 per eye, get ~40fps, and do it all on a Ryzen 5 2700X, 5700XT RC, and 16GB of RAM.

P.S. Try checking and tweaking the resolution in SteamVR settings, it can help dial in VR peformance a lot.

I had the original Oculus CV1 when those first came out, one of the best "budget" VR Headsets I ever owned, I tried the Quest 2 a while ago and hated it, than got a Valve Index a while back. I can honestly say though that even with the Oculus CV1 the Oculus software was a massive headache to deal with, especially when it came to updates, and it only got worse when it all went to Meta and Facebook took over and they stopped supporting the CV1 and discontinued making parts for it like replacement cables and so on.

As far as BeamNG goes, I mean I don't think BeamNG ever had the idea of VR when it first started getting Developed cause back in 2013 VR at that time was VERY niche` and not a lot of people even knew that VR was going to blow up and get as big as it has over the past 5-6 years. All we can really do is let the BeamNG Devs do what they can, it'll probably be a while until we have BeamNG running in a stable state in VR.
