This already looks incredibly good. Since I really like driving race cars(And crashing them....) do you think you will have a relatively realistic driving model and jbeam?
Thanks! And yes i hope i can get it to drive well --- Post updated --- I havent started yet tbh, im away for a week aswell Ill tell you when i can
What do you mean? Also, made my first wheels Litteral chonkers tho I made a stock 'hood' that im suprised at considering how smooth it is ^^ : also i made the exhaust+manifold
He means like when the Porsche 911 GT1 had a blowover at Road atlanta, or the BMW V12 LMR, or the Mercedes CLR at Le mans. Videos below on those: Though I don't believe this would make sense. Group C cars were not as dependant on aerodynamic appendages like later LMP and GT1 cars, and I have never seen a Group C car do a legitimate blowover like these three did. However, as they were very dependant on the "Ground Effect" phenomenon, it would make sense for them to go airborne when spun at high speeds. Videos on those below: For the above video, specifically the first crash, then 1:10, then also at 1:52, and another one at 2:20. All of these crashes are either tire failures or being spun around, and due to the "Ground Effect" phenomenon only sucking the car to the ground when it is going forward, this is reversed when going backward. Another thing to note is that most of those cars had flat underfloors, which made it much easier for them to fly when airborne, in similar manner to many NASCAR crashes in the 80s and 90s. A video on those will also be added below.
There aren't actually any "new" airbone accidents involving group C cars in those two videos, but in the second video it has a new angle of a previous airbone crash at 1:13, nice.
well i got a bunch of progress that i never bothered posting (these are from 2-3 days ago) : Added more wheels (another one after these was made) steering wheel and seats made This is another exhaust option Fun exhaust because why not lol Airfilters Engine as of right now Added an interior (W.I.P) Made mounts for the radiator (not final result)
I thought so, too.I have never seen a Group C car with their exhausts on top of the engine as that would require the engine to be upside down.. not a good idea in my opinion.
its based off of a group c car but not everything is gonna be similar to them and this can work so thats why im doing it
I see, though I still have never seen any car have the exhaust go out through the top of the engine block. Where is the intake going to be?
I didn't mean the radiator intakes. I meant the ones that provide the air to the engine, like a carburetor or a fuel injection system. --- Post updated --- Wait, actually, are you putting a turbo on the engine? Then it would make sense.
