It was well edited and pretty fun to watch but I have some tips for you.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE TIPS

    1. Hide the UI. Just hit Alt + U before you record and that will hide any UI apps you have open.

    2. Use FOV. To use FOV, you first need to have your camera in free roam mode. Then hit Esc and find the button that looks like a little beetle. Click it and scroll to the bottom of that menu. There will be an option for FOV. Set that anywhere from 5-20. This will make the camera angles look better.

    3. Use slow motion more. Use 2-8x slo mo and speed up the clips in editing. This will make your camera angles look much better and you will be able to follow the crashes better.

    4. Set camera speed. Just hit f11 and look towards the middle-left ish of that bar. It should say camera speed and have a 25 next to it. Experiment with it a little and it will make your camera less jerky and stuff.

    5. Go into photo mode before you start crashing. Every time you load up a different map, go into camera mode and just exit it. This will make you camera less jerky and more enjoyable to watch.

    6. Better camera angles. The camera angles you had in the video were terrible. You need to find a camera angle that will allow people to see what is going on. This will be easier if you use the FOV tip I gave you.

    7. More crashes. There was a lot more drifting than crashing and personally (and I think a lot of people will agree with me), I like crashing better than drifting. After a while, drifting just gets a little boring no matter how good you are. I'm not saying your bad, I'm just saying it gets boring. Just try to put maybe 3/4ths of the video crashes and 1/4th of the video drifting. Or just create separate videos for the two.

    8. Use different maps and cars. You use a ton of the same cars and maps and it gets really annoying. People like variety (I think) so it would be a good idea to change that stuff more often. Just because you switch between 3 maps and 3 cars frequently, doesn't mean you are changing it up.

    9. Mute ingame sound in editing. When you are editing the clips together, please mute the BeamNG sounds so we can hear the music. I like your custom sounds and all, but I'd rather listen to some music than a bunch of sounds most people already have.

    10. Music was OK. The music wasn't the best. I could hardly hear it at times but it seemed a little shallow and slowish. It was a good song and you made it fit the video well, but I just didn't like it. Try to get more intense music. Just don't get sucked into dubstep and stuff. Just make sure you sync up the video with the music, meaning when there is a fast part in the song, make the video fast. When there is a slow part, make the video slow.

In all, the video was really well made. It had a lot of cool transitions and effects that made it decent overall. Just try to fix the things up above and you will have your montages looking great!

I am not trying to make you feel bad. I liked the video and thought it was well made. Most of the things above were just common opinions. I told you everything I thought would make your videos look even better than they are. Keep up the good work, and keep making videos. I can't wait to see your next montage :)

Speak for yourself. This seems overly critical.

It's not overly critical. I want to help people the most I possibly can. I personally think that separate montages for drifting and crashing would be best so people can watch what they want. And I was speaking for myself. That's why I didn't say everyone wants more crashing than drifting. I just simply said that most people like crashing more than drifting. "Most" does not equal "all".

I like to help people with their montages to help them get more popular. There is a difference between criticism, and constructive criticism.

Just criticizing something is saying stuff like "oh wow, this video sucks" or, "Terrible video. Worst one I've ever seen".

Constructive criticizing is telling people how to make the video better. That is what I did. I gave my personal opinion on how he could make the video better. It does not mean everyone will like it, it means that I thought he could improve those things I mentioned.

And by the way, the video wasn't bad. It was actually quite good.

Understood, but to go as far as to suggest what type of music to play and what content to display just seems a bit much, and for pretty obvious reasons. As if there aren't enough BeamNG crash videos. You provide great tips on one hand, but on the other hand it appears like your just trying to force some of your ideas.

This inclination of yours, must be a known fact right?

I was just trying to help. Nothing was forced. End of discussion. Let's not turn this into a big argument okay?

Thank you so much for your comment and long response! I love that your willing to give honest feedback to help a fellow youtuber!! I will take these steps into consideration for my next videos :D

I totally understand what you mean, I get a bit lazy at the end and make stupid mistakes with my editing. Thanks for the support :D

First off the FOV thing you mentioned is not the most effective way to show off drift skills.

Also the drift over crashing thing is subjective.

I meant for the FOV to be used for crashes, not so much for the drifting. And I know it is subjective, that's why I said "personally."

That's why I said "I think a lot of people will agree with me." I never said "I know for a fact that most people will agree with me."

Either way, AmbitiousVicious liked my criticism so there is no point to really arguing about this, is there?

Anyone else looking to criticize my constructive criticism, please read the bottom two paragraphs of my original post. I didn't mean to make him feel bad or anything, I just wanted to give my personal opinion on his videos which isn't doing anything wrong unless personal opinions aren't allowed. I took 30-50 minutes out of my day to write (and edit) that long response to try to help a fellow YouTuber.

I know I may not be the most worthy one to give the criticism, but I am the only one who seems to actually want to help. Everyone else I've seen just says stuff like "The video was boring," and "The music sucked."

If he does take even half of the tips I gave him, his videos will improve and he will start to grow. That's the only thing I hope to accomplish with my long responses. All I want is to know that I helped someone on YouTube grow, and I helped their videos get better.

With that being said, take what I just said into consideration before you respond to this.

Hockey I love your feedback and I really think your awesome for taking the time to watch and comment <3

It's just hard to find the time between school, work & other priority's! Like everybody knows but little by little!
I can always do better & make changes ;D #3 Crash montage = getting a little bit better but I still need to work on my transitions & smoothness in gameplay.

Awesome! I can't wait to see it! I know what you mean about school. It can be really hard to keep up with YouTube when you have a ton a school. It's also the holidays so that isn't going to help at all.
