I am no longer working on this project. Please feel free to take my progress and continue with it. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This add-on adds a collapsible bridge to the Utah map. It has replaced the main highway bridge. Installation Instructions: You must have the Sadler Gorge map installed for this to work! This will overwrite your default Utah map. 1. Download the .zip file. 2. Unzip the .zip file. 3. Move the unzipped file (should be called "utah") to your "levels" file. 4. How to locate the "levels" file. 4.1. To locate "levels" go to Windows Search and type in "%appdata%". 4.2. In the File Explorer search bar click "AppData". 4.3. Now click on "Local", scroll down and find "BeamNG.drive". Open it. 4.4. Open the latest version file (currently 0.34) and then open "levels". If you don't have this file then create it. 4.5. Move the "utah" file in here. Make sure you have no other modified versions of Utah with the same name. 5. Launch the game and check if it worked. Video Instructions Known Issues AI traffic struggles to drive across the bridge. Segments of the bridge are unbreakable leaving pieces floating. Game Update Fix When the game updates, you need to move your "levels" file from the previous version file to the newest one. You will also need to re-enable your mods so the Sadler Gorge bridge can load in. If this doesn't work then it is possible the Utah map was updated and borked this addon, such as a partial/full map rework. I'll have to release a new version if this is the case. Credits: JBeamed Bridge is from the Sadler Gorge map by Occam's Razer. https://www.beamng.com/resources/sadler-gorge.3349/ If you have any recommendations or issues let me know.
Run a file integrity check on Steam or through the BeamNG launcher and it should fix it. No one else has said anything about this so I assume you did not install it correctly.
Nice! The only problem is the flying parts when the bridge collapses, but I think that you need to edit the model to fix that... Great addon tho! A photo as demonstration: Also, this annoys me too much. Why did you "Fix" this that way? I still think that this is very good! It would take a LOT to edit in the bridges every time you wanted to use them! and I Wouldn't be able to fix the first problem and, maybe, you too! The second one just bothers me, but I am a "Perfectionist" so don't worry!
Thanks for your input. The bridges stay floating as you showed due to how the model was made. I didn't make the bridge model so I can't fix it, at least not to my knowledge. As for the "fix" bridge, you can permanently remove it by opening the world editor (F11), clicking on the bridge, deleting it, and saving the world by pushing CRTL+S or selecting the Floppy Disk icon in the top left. This should save your world configuration and the bridge should be gone the next time you launch the map.
great but i dont think traffic works since the bridge itself is not classified as a prop but a vehicle
I tried at least 3 times doing everything i can trying to get it to work when i go to the bridge there is no bridge there please help
Traffic does work, but it is janky. Vehicles going down the bridge don't seem to have any issues, but vehicles going up it like to stop and go. Sometimes, they don't care and will just drive with no issues. When I get some free time I'll try to sort this out along with some other issues and get a better installation process. --- Post updated --- Make sure you are going to the proper file directories mentioned in the instructions and that you have Sadler's Gorge installed before attempting to install the map.
Can you make an installation video? I know it's quite simple but I did all the steps and it didn't work.
Could you make it so the Ai spawn a bit higher on the bridge because the ai for mee keeps spawning inside the bridge wich makes it difficult to drive over the bridge for my overly dramatic crashes
I am currently working on trying to fix the AI. I think I messed it up when deleting the bridge and AI path over it. It'll be a little while before I update this again but I am working on it.
