USB Headset not working in BeamNG

I have a headset that uses usb for the sound, it works on everything but BeamNG, is this a compatibility issue in the game or something else, (like a user error)

I didn't realise you could get USB headsets! Tried it in a different slot? Or do you have a spare pair of jacked headphones?

 

choose your headphones under "audio device"

Another offtopic thing, disabling any unwanted audio adapters (EG HDMI) in device manager. Can lead to fewer programs being confused as to which to use.
