Does anyone else get really high CPU temperatures when playing this game?

I understand that it is a CPU intensive game because of the physics, but that doesn't warrant the temperatures I'm getting relative to my normal CPU temperatures and to CPU usage.

I'm running an AMD FX8350, clocked at 3.9GHz, and when the game is running, my system is registering CPU usage between 10 and 15%, however, my CPU temperatures are reaching as high as 62C (as a point of reference, it sits around 40-50C when running other games, including physics games like KSP). The temeratures I'm getting are checked on Asus AI Suite II, Speed Fan, and HW Monitor, so it's not a false reading, which is what I had originally suspected.

The temperatures are not high enough to damage my CPU, but I was wondering if anyone else is getting temperatures higher than usual, or if it is just my system. Is there known bugs that are causing the game to use resources inefficiently?

P.S. I'm using an active air cooler, and my CPU is overclocked a small amount (couldn't go any higher because my air cooler is not good enough). Also, none of my other components are registering higher than usual temperatures.

    Thanks, Sam.

EDIT: I'm running the paid version, if that makes any difference.

First, if you're running the paid version, go through the email with the serial in it, and click the link that promotes your forum account.

Your CPU should only be getting hot if it's working hard. 10 - 15% sounds low ... especially if you have multiple cars on the screen.

My old 8150 (Now being used as a server) got up to about 74c when playing BeamNG but it needs new thermal pasting so... yeah, it's probably normal for it to get as hot as yours is :p

I recommend you clean your computer with an air duster and use Arctic Silver 5 as your thermal grease.
Need more specs to really know for sure though

I think the general max temp for CPUs is 160-170F. (70-76C)

60c is fine for a CPU, especially an AMD one, their built to withstand higher temperatures than Intel ones. They just run hot :)

I have a i5 2500k (stock cooled), and that gets to around 60c on BeamNG aswell.

BTW, the entire Bulldozer/Piledriver line of processors are all really hot running processors, especially with some overclocking like you have done.

theres nothing to worry about, but if it gets over 70c, its annoying because the CPU starts bottle necking performance to cut down the heat, and over 75c will shorten the life of the CPU.

Maybe consider investing in a h20/60/80 water cooling unit. their dead cheap and very reliable. my mate matt has one on his phenom x6 and it barely gets over 30c doing anything!

Like people said, it's fine. I think that this CPU is designed to withstand maximum temperature of 81 degrees Celsius. For example, my laptop i5 runs up to 95 degrees Celsius and it's fine. (No there is no issue with the laptop, talked to the manufacturer)

Beamng works my laptop hard. The only program that starts the fan so far. Makes a damn nice little heater.
