Post some little -known game facts that you find interesting over here! I'll start, the GTA SA Ranger has a drastically different front suspension setup than it's Civilian partner, also differing in weight, power, even grip. Also, the fastest completed run around the full map of GTA SA was done by youtube user "CAnAra", whom is now banned, doing it in a Jester, crossing the finish line on fire. After some practice, the GTA 3 Dodo can actually be flown, even though it requires some fancy flight tactics. To do so, look it up online. Finally, Throughout the whole of GTA 3, the main character never speaks, possibly due to being shot.
I spent alot of time watching videos about the beta stages of pretty much every Grand Theft Auto game, The thing about Claude not being able to talk was one of the interesting points about GTA3, the fact that because he never talks. However through beta trailers, people think that he were supposed to talk; his voice actor being Frank Vincent. The same person who would then voice Salvatore Leone. Video here: VadimM does alot of videos about the beta days of each GTA game, from the finest details from game magazines to old trailers, even searching through game code for unused things. Of course, all the sources are from GTAForums and various websites. I dont know what would be "little known" to people, but to add something new: The Elegy in GTASA was originally called "Legend 566" and there's still some old skins with that name hidden in the gta3.img file. Find them and rename them to either elegy1.txd, elegy2.txd or elegy3.txd and you can bring them back to use on the Elegy.
Some buildings in GTA SA have reflections of cars on them. In fact, these cars were made long after 1992, the year SA was set in.
In 2012 Twisted Metal on the LA Skyline map there is a blimp, if you can shoot it down it will crash into a tower and a new road would be drive-able.
I have a few that are mainly based around glitches: You know how on Space Invaders the enemies get faster once most are gone? The reason that happens is because on the original arcade cabinet, having less enemies on screen meant it could run faster. The GTA franchise exists because of a glitch. Back in 1995, Rockstar (then DMA Design) were making an open world racing game called Race N' Chase, where the player could be chased by the police. The police were orginally designed to carefully pull over the player and give them a ticket (sort of like the TDU games), but a glitch caused the police to ruthlessly smash into the player. Testers thought this was more fun than the actual game itself, so the developers took that idea and built a whole game around wanted levels. In the original 1991 Civilization game, the AI players' aggression is stored in an unsigned 8-bit integer with a max value of 255. Gandhi, being a peaceful character, has an aggression rating of 1. At the early stages of the game, though, the AI gains a perk that reduces their aggression by 2. This works fine for the other characters, but since Gandhi's aggression is so low, it gets reduced to -1, which then underflows and rolls over to 255. The devs decided to keep this in the future games since it was funny, and this is why Gandhi is such an aggressive character in the series.
