Unhappy Please HELP Fatal ERROR

[h=2][/h] Hello there,

when install the game, just before it finishes it says
"unable to download file:version.txt"
couldnt resolve host name
so then i try to run it and it says
"Executible not found: BeamNG.drive.x86.exe"

I'm also unhappy. You posted the same thread twice about an issue which has a hundred threads for already and is even mentioned in the FAQ.

I went through some of those threads and they are all due to a proxy which i do not have?

 

try running the one called update.exe it might fix it

 

Check that your AV firewall and windows firewall is allowing the updater to run. If you don't update you cannot run the game, unfortunately.

 

Looking at several threads at once. They all refer to the following checklist:

1. Antivirus
2. Firewall
3. Admin Rights
4. Finally proxy

Shut down your anti virus software entirely. Shut down your firewall entirely. Run the updater with admin rights. For proxy, your probably right in assuming you don't have one if its your personal computer, if you did you would know, if its a school or business computer then it would almost certainly have a proxy and the network administrator would need contacting (who would probably yell at you to get out of his office rather than aid you). As soon as BeamNG is installed you will want to get that antivirus and firewall back up and running again, or simply rebooting the machine will solve that one.
