Umlaut problem on german license plate

    I just put Gö on my license plate and I noticed that there is a problem with the * symbol seemingly not working if there is an Umlaut in front of it.

    That only seems to affect the US sized plates. It works fine for the EU ones.

    But then also the numbers are right next to the letterblock on the right side and not a few centimetres away as they normally should. I do know that you can also get this with a "." between the letterblock and the numbers.

    I couldn't find any posts that have talked about that "problem".
