Maybe I just had a dream, a hallucination or something, but I remember the sound of a traffic car quickly approaching from the distance and it going by being more prominent and loud in older versions of the game (Johnson Valley debut?), like it is usually in real life mainly thanks to the rubber tires and the road surface (asphalt), not the engine pulling. It used to really add to the immersiveness for me. I can still hear that sound in 0.37.5, but very faintly that you don't even notice it. Gets lost among other sounds that are much louder, like the engine. I know I can tweak the volume individually for every type of sound source, but cranking up the Surface and Aero volume sliders doesn't do enough of the job, and if I wanna add more I'd have to decrease the maximum volume of all the other things -- not ideal. Besides, there's a similar thing on really low speeds where the already quiet sound of the tyres gradually disappears until under 10km/h and the car ends up rolling completely silently. For reference, an aesthetically nice example of the tyres sound is Grand Theft Auto 5, where the sound is always crispy and delicious -- hearable at the speeds of 5-30 km/h (see attachment*). Additionally, there is a slight metal screeching sound while turning the wheels -- nice, right? Is this a thing I may ask for in future updates -- for these sounds to be added/enhanced for immersiveness and aesthetic purposes? --- Post updated --- *the 13.6mb .mp4 video doesn't wanna upload, not in post nor in the comments... help
