Soooo... something caught my eye earlier today, which was the fact that there are two offroad pigeon mods for some reason, both entered in the gambler 500. The first, which is by Carl_ released on wendnesday, and had showcases by neil and wojte. https://www.beamng.com/resources/offroad-pigeon.27150/ This second one made by Joobles, and it was released yesterday. not much info on it. https://www.beamng.com/resources/gambler-500-pigeon-x-hopper-hybrid.27256/ These seem to be completely different mods (I mean one has a bike engine and 6x6 config). I am currently in the process looking at both of them, but I thought I'd bring attention to this in a thread as neither mod (As far as I am aware of) has one. --- Post updated --- Okay, so Joobles has a 1.3 litre but less clearence, and has the engine very low and farer back, sorta kinda mid engined. --- Post updated --- he only made it in 4 days so unsuprisingly lower quality.
Yeah the quality on mine is pretty bad lol. If you think that one mod took from the other I can guarantee that they didn't. Mine uses a chopped and modified Hopper frame while Carl_'s is on the Stambecco drivetrain. Also the engine on mine is in an odd spot so modded ones work (which is a little necessary because the base engines have no torque lol). I can pull out old files or sketches of you want definite proof but they are pretty different other than the general concept of "beefy off-road Pigeon"
kin No no! I know they are different, Thats easy to tell, with your engine placement is like, under the car (Lower center of gravity?possibly better?}, and Carl's got like a rear hitch on the back of the diff and stuff, and the suspension looks very much different. nevertheless they are undoubtedly completely different, I looked at them side by side. I just thought that It was interesting that two people came up with the same idea. and both entered them.
