Turn off stupid pursuits

Is there a way to turn off the annoying ass automatic police pursuits? Driving along and then some stupid notification pops up in the top left corner of the screen saying that suspect is fleeing me. Please let me disable this stupid s***. It gets really old really fast.

 

Well if I were you then I would do esc>ai>traffic>spawn police and normal
But then again you would be chased by the cops even if you are in a police car

 

You can turn it off by not driving in a police vehicle. If you don't want to chase people while driving a police vehicle, just don't chase them.

This is a late ass reply, but I'm using the oldsmobile and regency mods, and it breaks the immersion when I'm using the civillain variant of the car and the ai goes full retard with the annoying "suspect is fleeing" pop-up in the upper left corner. It also sometimes happens to the crown Victoria mod also. There should just be an option to turn off the pursuits to prevent this from happening just incase.

 

Does it happen even when u got your lightbar & sirens off?

 

The civilian versions of the car don't really have a siren either. There's probably some hidden parameter in the file that identifies it as police car, which is why I'd rather just have an option to turn off the pursuits. Because that Oldsmobile regency mod isn't gonna be updated anytime soon. And the ai isn't good at fleeing anyway, so it's not really an engaging chase even if I did intend to drive a police car.

 

That's because it's been stated that they've been programmed specifically with those scenarios in mind. The ai itself is a chicken without a head. And the ai has always done stupid shit, but recently the developers for some reason have taken inspiration from gta 5's shitty programming and made it to where the ai intentionally rams into you instead of trying to avoid you. It never used to be like that. I remember one good critique I had about the ai was that they went out of their way to avoid you when you're coming their way.

 

Still wish there was a solution to this.

It happens randomly, which is actually worse. I spawn in and drive the civilian oldsmobile regency with traffic, and they spazz out on me once again. And another moment I'm driving the same exact car, and there's no random pursuits. It actually happened to me with the Procyon Centauri, which is why I'm back on this thread because it's happened randomly for the umpteenth time. I love this game and it's potential, but there needs to be an option to turn off the pursuits. There's some hidden random parameter where the game designates even a civilian car as a cop car at certain times.

That's a terrible solution. It isn't that fun to drive without traffic.
I enjoy the pursuits myself, but I'd actually also like a function to turn them off sometimes.

 

Yeah, sometimes I’d like to just patrol instead of chasing a vivace and 800-series and bastion and pessima all in 5 minutes
