Hi I am making a map and want to know how to create tunnels for it. Does any one know how to do this? Thanks
He modeled them as an actual object, including the rocks and grass and stuff, torque3d doesn't support angles over 90* in terraforming so that sucks
To make tunnels in beam you have to: 1] Make a mountain. 2] Cut a flat bit trough the mountain. 3] Add desired tunnel model. 4] Cover over with rock and trees to make look natural.
To add to what others have said... There actually is support for making tunnels through the same, consecutive terrain in Torque 3D. There is a tool (the name of which I do not recall) that can create holes in the terrain, intended to allow users to create tunnels or entrances for caves. However, BeamNG does not support the use of this tool. In order to prevent the non-dimensional nodes from clipping or falling through the ground, the terrain is defined as possessing infinite thickness. Any nodes that are under the ground are pushed upward until they rest on or above the terrain's surface, and erasing any section of a terrain only results in that section becoming invisible, not intangible.
Wow... i never knew that. Explains why cars used to shoot out of the ground and become spaghetti when put under it
