Hey, so i wanna get into tuning cars. But i got a couple of questions first...
So if we say for example i wanna tune a track/race car. But different cars have different versions of them such as race rally etc. And if im gonna tune a race car. Should i select the race version of the car and tune that car? Or select the standard version and try to tune that for racing. How do you guys do it? Do you select a race version if the car or standard?
Also can i change suspension on the car to race rally etc?

As in just tuning cars in the official game, no modding or anything?

Just do it. Don't let your dreams be dreams. Just do it.

Open the vehicle part menu and just mess around, explore the options available, etc...

If you tuned a car from any other simulator like Forza, Gran Turismo, or SLRR, you should be good.
You can tune many things to your car, such as:
    • Turbo boost (if you have a variable turbo)
    • Suspension (if you have race suspension)
    • Differentials
    • Brakes
    • The transmission
    • Wheel alignment
    • and more.
Each of them can affect your car, minorly or majorly, so find a tune that suits your taste.
Also uncheck the live update button, it'll make tuning way easier as you don't have to wait 15 seconds per change, you can just do the changes you want, then click "Apply" to apply them
