This is pretty cool actually. I'm going to go test it now. Perhaps if you got the lid to fly off it. just a little tip
Yeah, I'm actually working on improving the N/B quite a bit now. After I played with Gabester's steel barrel I felt mine was lacking.
So...you think you can be a part of the community by making a trashcan? You think this will make us respect you more, or think highly of you? If so, you're right. Well played, trashcan guy. Well played indeed...
Not sure if troll, or jelly. (imported from here) Anyway, I updated the first post with a new version featuring an all-new N/B, since the old one was overly-complicated. I also greatly improved the performance in the process.
I was wondering about the "not-vehicle-vehicles" like barrel and tirestack, how are you supposed to use them? just spawn a vehicle with that model to get fancypants phys? or whats the idea?
Would remind me on the GTA IV Multiplayer Games I used to have using Simple Native Trainer with friends... xD
I plan to do a bit of everything in BeamNG, just as I have in RoR. So you can count on seeing more things from me. Well the idea for me was to make a simple practice object, trying to get the hang of making things for BeamNG. Now how you use it, is completely up to you. It could be decoration on a map, a fun object to smash, a friend for when you feel lonely. There are plenty of uses.
I almost feel we're gonna wind up needing a new board for these not-vehicles, now that they're practical with better object-object collision and don't completely murderize FPS by having two separate N/B objects loaded simultaneously.
When you spawn them in if they aren't perfectly on the ground they fall and it causes the lid to fall through the trash can. Not sure if it's something you can fix, but I figured I would mention it. Other than that, it is really fun to spawn like 5-6 of these things and smash through them
You can always take the time to put them on the ground in the editor. (Remember to press J to pause the physics before moving/spawning vehicles.)
Yeah when I saw the thread title I got a huge smile and thought "Driveable trash can? HELL YES!" Lol, It needs wheels and a street legal 49cc 2 stroke engine.
