I just watched Transformers 5 and it was bad but very entertaining, the story didn't make since but you can tell they didn't care about story it's a stupid and fun film, Cogman really made this film, me and my family were laughing our asses off at everything he said while the others are pretty funny and I give this a 7/10.
I still don't understand how Megatron is no longer galvatron. Or why the dinobots were basically just comedy pets. Or why a prime couldn't take on the knights. I hated the movie over all. Story didn't make sense, action scenes were strange, and a number of bots including evil Optimus were not given as much of a role as they should have been given. I also find it annoying that they re-used a model from the second movie for one of the new deceptions. Not as annoying as having bots with vehicle forms identical to devastor's vehicle forms though. That was so confusing. The introduction to the deceptions and Siri voice bumble bee and hot rod kidnapping the professor were all hilarious though. Really great scenes.
I haven't seen the film yet, though I am interested. I already know some stuff after researching and watching clips. I like the whole idea of Bumblebee being present on Earth as far back as WWII. It even holds some continuity, since he wasn't shown arriving to Earth like the others did in the first film. I do feel like there was some wasted potential with Cogman, since it was stated that he is a Headmaster. That would mean that Cogman has the ability to transform into the head of a larger body that he can connect to. Apparently they scrapped a scene where Nitro Zeus would've been killed by Cogman instead of Bumblebee, and he would've taken control of Nitro's headless body. I don't know the full story behind that, for me it's currently hearsay. Also, Cogman's deluxe figure even demonstrates the Headmaster function, and the head of Nitro's figure can be removed, so I believe that's probably an indication that those rumors could be true. And is it odd that I was expecting Bumblebee to die? I saw the possibility of him being killed after noticing that in every film an Autobot died, and they really built TLK up to the possibility that it could happen. Here's what I mean. First movie - Jazz Second movie - Optimus, though he was later revived Third movie - Ironhide Fourth movie - Ratchet, which I actually saw coming So Bee is the only one of the first Autobots that hasn't died. I can see an opportunity of how they could kill him off and then revive him, as he did get rebuilt and renamed in the original 80's series, though death wasn't what got him.
