Like this one? It says royalty free lisencehttps://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/3d-diesel-locomotive/786001 --- Post updated --- Ok, but how do i take the 3d model and import it into beamng?
Yeah, but if you check licensing and terms of use properly, quite often it says it is not allowed to distribute in any form, if you make a game you may include, but then it need to be make sure one can't get model out from it easily, also some are only for making screenshots, renders etc. so you can't use them in game. I recommend you start with static object like seat, bench etc. Then make that said seat/bench to a prop, after that you can start thinking about how to get something more complex into game, because in BeamNG getting vehicle into game is far more complex than just 3D model. Doing mesh slap would of course be possible, but where would you get node/beam structure to slap mesh to, citybus does not work exactly well? You can't use existing trains without permission from Chris Lucas, while zagdima has permission to use his code, you would need your permission sorted out. Sadly it is not quite simple as grab any 3d model you can and import it to game, it does require quite a bit of studying and work.
i already stepped on this so this was a lesson for me. and now for me is easier to buy or to make my own model and do not have any complains about diff stuff
pickup_body.jbeam "flexbodies": [ ["mesh", "[group]:", "nonFlexMaterials"], //bodywork ["pickup_body", ["pickup_framefront", "pickup_cab", "pickup_firewall", "pickup_frontmeat", "pickup_lowermounts", "pickup_uppermounts", "pickup_shocktop"]], ], Change to : "flexbodies": [ ["mesh", "[group]:", "nonFlexMaterials"], //bodywork ["YOUR3DMODEL", ["pickup_framefront", "pickup_cab", "pickup_firewall", "pickup_frontmeat", "pickup_lowermounts", "pickup_uppermounts", "pickup_shocktop"]], ], YOUR3DMODEL = mesh name in Blender. Check wiki and do those static objects and props first as it is easier to understand it all trough those. https://www.beamng.com/link-forums/wiki.574/
Blender is not needed for making Jbeam, it is very useful for that, but you can make jbeam without Blender. You need Blender to make 3D model export to DAE file, check out documentation from the wiki, or look here how to import and export official vehicles properly, practice with official vehicles first, make a wing or roof rack or just put simple cube on top of car. https://www.beamng.com/threads/tutorials-index-list-of-useful-guides.51454/
