This mod is an addon pack for the Gavril D-Series, I do plan on making a properly scaled, standalone truck in the future. Finally, the legendary Toyota is here! I have decided to make this a D-Series addon instead of a standalone mod is so you can mix and match whatever parts you want. Overview: Different Engines are: 22R 22RE 3VZE 1UZ (No Image) I have had to modify the power to match the weight of the D-Series so please feel free to let me know if it should be adjusted. Different Grille and bumper Options Are: Chrome Front Bumper and 4WD Grille (can be changed separately) Black Front Bumper and 4WD Grille (can be changed separately) Chrome 2WD Grille Black 2WD Grille Offroad Front Bumper variant 1 Offroad Front Bumper variant 2 The 2 Different Trims include: Base DX Trim - Base Gauge Cluster, no ABS, 22R engine, Bench Seat Deluxe SR5 Trim - SR5 Gauge Cluster with working oil pressure gauge, ABS, 22RE engine, SR5 bucket seats, SR5 rims. Variants: I didn't want to crowd the selection page with hundreds of variants so I've kept it simple. 2WD DX (Both transmission types) 2WD High School Special (Manual) 4WD DX (Both transmission types) 4WD DX Diesel (Manual) 4WD SR5 (Both transmission types) 4WD SR5 V6 (Automatic) 4WD SR5 Offroad (Manual) (SmittyBuilt Bumper coming soon!) Custom (Manual) Drag And probably my most favourite... Pizza Planet Truck! 4Runner I made a last minute decision to make the 1st gen 4runner as its basically just a pickup with a fancy canopy, however its not completely perfect in the JBEAM department, I will continue to work on it and update the mod when it is finished. Here's some pictures: Gallery This is my first mod and it's not perfect, if you wish to improve, please DM me and I will be happy to add your improvement and add your name as a contributor. I had originally tried to upload to the mod section, but due to copyright issues, it can't get approved. I'm currently working to remove all the Toyota branding and change it to something obvious, but not copyright grounds. I will leave it normal here but will continue to add updates as I polish it out. Also sorry the pictures are so small when you zoom in, I just copied the description from the mod submission as all the pictures are not organised on my PC. Contributions: SlickNick924 - Fixing some shading issues with body panels.
The bubbliness you are getting on your paneling is you not applying edge split to around 60*. Make sure to do that and your weird panel shading will go away. Overall, very nicely done
ooooh man this brings back memories of my first car, a '79 Hilux with an 18RG and a five speed Celica box. It never actually started, I never once drove it in the six months I had it and the day I sold it ran like a brand new engine, all the guy did was wiggle the no.2 lead. If only I knew, but hey I was the only sixteen year old in town who could afford their own car, let alone the promise of a 145 hp, had it of course actually started
4.7 liter, yes --- Post updated --- this is just so good. the modelling is amazing and it looks dev-made. amazing!
I can't argue with even more options to the Pickup in Beam, but as others have said, It needs some work in the texturing and shading department. Also one weird perhaps nit picky gripe I have is that I'd love to see a better option for the radio rather than the flat aftermarket one that's currently in it. You can see a couple of the stock radio designs (among other interesting things) from this brochure for the 1984 Pickup. http://importarchive.com/brochure/toyotatruck1984_01 Amusingly I have no idea what a bog standard non cassette one would look like since they don't show it in the brochure, and after about an hour of googling I couldn't find it. A lot of trims for for this truck don't even have radios / the radios were optional. I get this is sorta a major nitpick as the the radios in Beam NG aren't exactly usable, but I think it's the sorta interior detail that goes a long way in selling the driving experience in the game.
its replacing some stuff from the original d-series (such as bumpers n' stuff), but besides that its pretty epic
