Discussion thread for my Tintable mod Tintable by Jamie599 Simply add the Tintable UI app and away you go I recommend leaving it in the bottom left of your screen You can hide it away by pressing the little arrow Lower tint values result in darker glass If you're using this mod for the first time and run into problems, please restart your game Plans: - Add all vanilla vehicles - Colourable tints - Headlights & taillights - Compatibility with some mod packs Spoiler: Vehicle List Key [o] = Available [x] = Unavailable [/] = Needs Improvement 21/31 [o] Autobello Piccolina [x] Autobello Stambecco [o] Bruckell Baston [o] Bruckell LeGran [o] Bruckell Moonhawk [x] Brunside Special [o] Cherrer FCV [o] Civetta Bolide [/] Civetta Scintilla [o] ETK 800-Series [x] ETK I-Series [o] ETK-K Series [o] Gavril Barstow [o] Gavril Bluebuck (2 Door) [/] Gavril Bluebuck (4 Door) [x] Gavril D-Series [o] Gavril Grand Marshal [x] Gavril H-Series [x] Gavril Roamer [x] Gavril T-Series [o] Hirochi SBR4 [o] Hirochi Sunburst [o] Ibishu 200BX [o] Ibishu Covet [x] Ibishu Hopper [o] Ibishu Miramar [o] Ibishu Pessima Mk1 [o] Ibishu Pessima Mk2 [x] Ibishu Pigeon [o] Ibishu Wigeon [o] Soliad Wendover [x] Wentward DT40L
glad to see this is back! a couple of notes, would it be ppossible to impliment the tint value selection in the tuning menu so its specific to each spawned configuration instead of being a global value for all vehicles spawned with tinted glass? Other than that, perfect, so glad to see this mod back
So the way this works... If you was to tint for example an ETK-800, the mod adjusts the properties of the material. As far as I'm aware, you can't have multiple materials for a single mesh, therefore all vehicles with the same part equipped will have the same material. Hence why all ETK-800's would then have the same tint applied. So because of this it wouldn't make sense to save the tint levels to a config, as this would overwrite the tint levels for any other ETK-800 that is spawned in. The only way to save the tint levels per config would be if there was a separate part for each tint value, so 100 different parts for each window. And well that's just not ideal lol One thing I could do is add a "save preset" button, so then you can load them values back in, but again when you do so, it will apply them values to all vehicles of the same type
Understandable. this format definetly makes the mod more light weight. settable Presets would be a nice workaround though
What car are you trying that on? Also for some reason, if u restart the game, it will work fine, depending on the case
Jamie599 updated Tintable with a new update entry: Update for Beam v0.28 Read the rest of this update entry...
Awesome mod, I've been waiting for something like this for eternity! Is it possible if you could add a feature to click a button like 0%, 25%, 50%, 75% or even 100% to quickly tint your car without having to fiddle with all the dials? Also, how do you make the tint save with a config?
i also seem to be getting the same problem, and ive cleared cache, unpcked the mod,ive restarted multiple times to no avail, did he ever fgure out whats up?
So, I'm not sure what is causing the mod to say unsupported on some vehicles, even when it is. But from some user testing, people have found that if they unpack the mod, that can fix it. And sometimes unpacking the mod, and then repacking the mod fixes it.
This mod hasn't been updated for months now, and for 3 BeamNG updates, of course its probably broken. I wouldn't expect any updates anytime soon for it either unless you or someone else fixes it, OP hasn't been very active
