    Hey guys,

So I decided to start playing around with the world editor on the template map in hopes of getting to create my own map in BeamNG. I am running on version 0.23.5.2 because my computer is too trash to handle the latest version, but I have bought the official version on Steam.

And I was just a little confused on the TOD (Time of Day) value measuring system. In 0.23 it shows the TOD start time value as a decimal, 0.100. Now I noticed that if you set it to 0.200, the time changes, but the sun isn't really where it would be at 2:00pm irl. So I was just wondering, what is the measurement system for the TOD start time values? (e.g., 0.100 = 1:00 pm, or like, 0.100 = 1 sec of the daylength value, etc.)

I might post other questions here as well, if I have any future questions.

I believe it's a cycle starting and ending at midday, however the values represent this as a 0 to 1 instead of out of 24 so there's no direct clean translation between the two here. I believe if you want to set a specific am/pm time you'd have to divide it by 24, with your time counting up from midday (so, for 2pm you'd do 2/24 while for 8am you'd need to do 20/24 as it's looped round to the next day, but you're still counting up as its centred around the midday mark)
This is just off memory so it may not be perfectly accurate but should at least help I think :)

Ah yes it does seem to be like that, when I set the time to 0.000 the sun is more or less at the top of the sky, with the Axistilt thing. Thanks a lot!

I made a table for the times of the day a few month ago. Maybe it helps.

If you want a specific Time...let's say 14:25:00 ...you have to count the minutes from 12:00:00 to 14:25:00 = 145 minutes. Then use the following formula: (1 / 1440) * 145 = 0,1006944 (Thats the value for the world editor).
