So here is where we say things that could have happened, didn't happen, or shouldn't have happened in the made-up alternate universe where everyone was a gearhead and everything was perfect.

    Ill start:
Crossovers never went in style, causing lots of things. The one's that existed were more for offfroading.

The Recession of 2008 didn't happen, and all of the GM brands (along with Ford's Mercury) didn't go out in 2010 and still made cars.

Infiniti debuted in Europe earlier, with more higher-quality vehicles as well.

Japan brands never stopped making inexpensive sports cars along side their normal cars (much like Toyota is doing)

The Integra was eventually revived around the same time the NSX was revived as well, and was a critical success.

    Thing's aren't over-complicated in cars now.

Well, my "perfect" could be slightly different from yours...
Some people prefer to sit a little higher. In a perfect universe, why can't we have both?

I would like an universe with great automotive diverstity, where vast numbers of different models with slight construction and design differences, of all ages, segments, body styles and designs, roam the streets, from new cheapo microcars to old ultra-luxury V16 4 door convertibles.

Family sedans didn't become stiff, sports car wannabes, and trucks didn't become soft, overpriced family vehicles.

Some brands still exist, like Zastava, Saab and Pontiac.

Chevrolet doesn't go into a shitshow of horrifying designs and actually designs coherent and likeable designs to this day.

CVT was widely used before slushbox. Then nowadays will be three kinds of manual transmission stick shift, sequential and mCVT(pull-push a lever to select gear ratio)
