And some kids may lie about their age too, just so they can get access. That would make it even harder to ban them, unless they end up blowing the whistle.
I'm fine with those kids at the moment they buy the game and give money to the dev so they can do better stuffs. After all who cares? Just ignore them, they paid and this what is important. You complain about those big YouTubers, and the kids they bring, but if they wasn't here, the game won't be what it is. Remember, All is about money. The world is about money.
Holy crap, this has never been said before. What a revolutionary post, this is sure to change the way everyone on this forum is thinking!
As many poster have said before me, this is something that happens to many online communities, specially if it's about an E rated videogame. Unless we decide to divide the users between "people that have a driver's liscence" and "people who doesn't", and put an option to filter the ones without it. That was obviously a joke, hah. Or was it?
The only problem with that is what if a kid uses his/her parent's lisence plate for his/her parent's car? Most people especially in the USA have cars, so that idea would go pretty south if it was put into practice.
Yeah, I wasn't very serious when I said that, obviously that would not be the solution. Then again, there could be a section dedicated to "educate" newcomers with little silly things, like how does a manual gearbox work, what a torque converter is, how to use the clutch, etc. But of course, this is a forum to discuss about the beamng.drive simulator, not to educate about automotion. I just want kids to understand how does a stick shift work
Why is it that every thread that complains about the forum is basically "the forum is poo now, pls have it like it was back in the good old days of last night"? Every forum has good and bad members, what would be the point of a forum that restricts its sign-ups based on an arbitrary "maturity check"?
To make it short and simple .. Everyone dosent like these kids particually, but there is nothing we can do about that. We have to accept it and live with it. We cant just ban every kid thats around .. Thats not how forums work .. Well sort of
The best solution is... not to look for a solution, IMO. Let's all have a proactive attitude toward the "problem". Let's make the forum better, instead of looking for a culprit to blame.
I approve but no one can ban them all! We need to adapt. Or left the forums. I'm a " Child" in some way. Did i've something wrong ?
How about we put an age limiter in sign up? Oh wait. Kids have brains. How about we take down the sign up option after a YouTuber advertised the game? Oh wait. There goes a few hundred bucks. How about we have more moderators? Oh wait. See "oh wait" number 1. How about we stop complaining and adapt? Oh wait. People like to complain. Whelp, there's no fix here!
Well we could try to "educate" newcomers (and ourselves too, you never know too much about anything), I mean this is not a kindergarten, but it would be cool if there was some (very visible) section, like an "user manual", explaining basic shit like how cars work, transmissions, drivetrains, gear ratios, differentials... Like the paper manuals of videogames when we were younger, hah. I know there would always be dumb people that doesn't want to learn new things, but there are also many genuinely curious but uninformed people that will make threads like "why does the car creeps forward when I let go of the clutch". I may be talking out of my ass, but I think there could be something that could be done by the community in this regard. I mean, I loved watching videos like this that explain something in a way that even someone as dense as me can get it
I I read every single manual that come with every game I buy. If only everyone did that and every game had one
