The absolute jank that is Snowrunner

Makes me appreciate BeamNG devs.

Don’t get me wrong, SR is a GOOD game. No one would put up with its crap long enough to play it without otherwise.

I played without any dealbreaker issues with a Logitech for a couple years, although there were definite issues.

For a long time it wouldn’t recognize Moza CRP pedals at all. Then I randomly discovered that plugging the WB and shifter into a hub (NOT the pedals) makes it start recognizing the pedals. Great. But not 1. It acts like something is continuously clicking the screen unless I turn the wheel to the soft lock don’t ask I have no idea and 2 My settings and control bindings reset to default EVERY time I close the game.
This game has been out 4 damn years. They have had 4 years to fix the bugs. Instead they continuously sell new DLC instead of fixing anything. BeamNG devs, never change!

 

I remember when I loved SR. I finished all base maps and Kola Peninsula before buying a PC. If I didn’t buy one, I’d probably still be playing it now. Ah, memories.

I'm fine with snowrunner and used to play it but it's incredibly weird, so I agree

 

There’s a speedo on inside view. It’s really a non issue in SR play tbqh though

As far as the gearbox goes, it’s weird how Mudrunner has provision for simple manual clutch and shifter but they can’t add the same thing to SR.

 

Mudrunner has way better physics, especially in terms of chassis flexing

Have you guys ever reset a vehicle in one of the trials? In one of them (i think the scout transport across the swamp) your vehicle gets reset inside another, and crap hits the fan and you go flyin'. Its hilarious!

I also love how all the updates are dlc only and us bare minimum guys barely get ANYTHING new. We get a new part or a trailer if were lucky. Heck in one update they even REMOVED the fine tune gearbox from my old career mode save when I had them in the previous update.

 

The dlc updates are usual for most expandable games (snowrunner, ets2/ats). The fact that we get free stuff every update is another reason why beamng devs are the best.
