Sorry, we are kind of busy over here.
It's on the ToDo list, as soon we manage to have some spare time, we will check.

Sooo, we tested on a machine with the same similar CPU (fx 8350) as yours, and no noticeable lag happens when testing your 4096^2 heightmap on puregrid.
We also tested your 'Thunder Valley' map with the same machine, no major frame loss.

Re-reading our conversation I noticed you said your FPS goes from 160FPS to 90FPS
.. Is that the intense lag you are having?

If no, could you try this:
Go to options > user-interface > enable 'Advanced Mode'
In the sidemenu there should be a new button named 'PERFORMANCE'
Press it. Then click the 'Hide UI for 10 seconds' button on the top-right corner.
Try to reproduce this lag, untill the UI returns back, then press ALT+O and paste the link for the image here.

Did you try laying down rubber? That's when it lags!

Yes, we tried the same exact things you said. The game was steady at 50-60FPS.

And we also confirmed the thing about using the 4096^2 heightmap with a 0.15 scaling.
That's pretty much the main reason of the poor general performance of the map.

Could you please answer/do the things in my previous post?

    Here:

Poor performance? It runs better than most vanilla maps on my end....
I have also confirmed that a 512x512 terrrain still causes this issue.

Skidmarks are only decals, and the only thing that can affect the performance of them is the resolution of the terrain.
The fact your lag happens still on a 512x512 heightmap (and you don't have the same problems on the other maps, which often uses higher resolution heightmaps) is really strange.

Could you please send us your map with the 512^2 heightmap, so we can check if there is something else wrong in there?

    Thanks.

We tried again, and the performance is pretty smooth.
No lag or similar when doing donuts and etc.

I guess wait for some users to give feedback to see if that's better also for them.

    I have a FX-8350 and a R9 270x installed.
    @Josh2009ers
No lags whatsoever (stable 60FPS, VSYNC on)
