A Quick and Simple mod that toggles a bunch of world editor modifications to the sunsky and other. Settings can be toggled on and off by using '=' by default. The aim of the mod is to improve dynamic range; Darkening shadows, and brightening Highlights. Mod Demo This mod was inspired by 'automated graphics enhancement' by Kryotex, which has a slightly wider feature-set, including cc and and gradient mapping, but lacks the ability to toggle easily. (all aside from the fact that the actual tweaks to the sunsky are vastly different). below are some comparisons I made pretty quickly. looks better in-game, and small island may not be the greatest example. Sunrise on Tweaked \ Vanilla Afternoon on Tweaked \ Vanilla Sunset on Tweaked \ Vanilla Works With Other Graphics Mods Confirmed Compatible with: - Zeit's Graphics Utilities - CK's Graphics - CK's Dynamic Skybox - Chip's Volumetric Clouds Combine With Other Mods To Perfect the Look (using tTweaks + ZGUtils + CKDS + vClouds) The settings that come default with the mod can be changed at '\lua\ge\extensions\core\teontweaks.lua' further explanation can be found there aswell if you'd like to add more settings to the preset. To-Do: -finish up the beta ‘UI’ branch -add dynamic brightness based of TOD to eliminate blown-out midday. -export/import custom presets. anyways, this is my first real mod, and I've probably spend more than 30 hours learning lua, and making this mod, so I hope you like it.
version 0.1.3 out - forces settings to update, so no more changing tod. - fixed a couple bugs that would break the mod on load.
Sorry about that, updated the description before I left for work, and I guess I didn’t notice it removed the download. I don’t have the stable branch on my phone, so the beta one with bugs is up until I get home.
This is probably the best and easiest to use graphics related mod for beamng right now and it looks amazing can't wait for more updates! Thanks for releasing this mod
interestingly it stops working after I reload the lua (which I need for another mod to start working Is there a fix or is it a quirk that we have to live with?
try reloading lua before you enable the mod. The default settings preset lives in memory, and that gets cleared when you reset lua. (should be fixed in the next version too ...If i get around to releasing it).
Currently enjoying how this all works! Trying to figure out how to change the moonLightColor variable though, as I personally want the night time to be a bit brighter for videos. But I've basically no knowledge on lua itself, only some basic C knowledge. Any clues would be greatly appreciated from anyone. Google was a mess and not exactly helpful.
