Meh. I don't think that we need another one. The current tech demo is V2, by the way. The old one had the pickup, and the new one has the Covet. If they make the tech demo too good, then why bother buying the full game?

If they are already making a new tech demo than I suppose the point is moot. Either way an update was obviously necessary, as the tech demo needs to be current enough to accurately represent what it is that you are buying. I've had this game for too long to know that they changed it to the covet, but I'm torn on whether or not it was a good idea. On one hand the Covet is one of the most enjoyable cars to drive in game, but on the other hand it is also one of the least customizable, somewhat ho-hum to crash, and significantly less versatile than the D15. I agree that making the tech demo too good would be detrimental, but with the volume of cars that we have now it shouldn't be too big of a deal to throw out something more substantial for the vehicle. I toss my vote in for the Pessima. It looks great in crashes, is easy to drive, is arguably the easiest car to relate to given what the average person drives, shows off the new ESC, and can be customized a fair amount. Never the less it is obviously a crap car (that kinda makes it funnier to use in the tech demo to me) and couldn't really be called the best in any measurable category beyond "best car to not be noticed in". Gridmap is still perfect for the tech demo map wise.

Yes. The techdemo should show what the game has to offer, and this doesn't. Grid map is fine for the map, but the base covet can't really do much. I think the car in the techdemo should be the sunburst. It's fun to drive and pretty quick!

The pessima doesn't have ESC and the covet is way more customizable, and is even less capable of anything, IMO the D-series is still the best car for the tech demo.

I would like to see the base Grand Marshal in the techdemo but I also think then should add the D-series and parts selector back in the techdemo and maybe car selector with nothing in it? but if they do plan on adding the D-series back in the techdemo then I expect it to be the RWD/4WD V8 Manual.

You can get those in the full game. The techdemo is just for seeing if you can run the game, and if you like the idea.

Well the point of a tech demo is to demonstrate the tech and draw people into the game so it would make sense to display the tech there is, honestly I felt the pickup was the better vehicle for the tech demo just because it was pretty versatile and with the drivetrain update on the way that would have been a good thing to demonstrate it on. if anything its GOOD if a tech demo is good because it would make people want the full game, if you played a demo of an FPS and the movement was clunky, as well as the shooting and the objectives aren't clear or hard to understand that would give you a bad impression of the game which would be especially bad if the full game was actually good in those areas. I feel the trick to a good demo is to have the full feature in the core of the driving and things the game does that others don't, for example when the drivetrain update is here, if they decided to go back to using the pickup and gave it a part time 4wd system it would display what the game is capable of but leaves people wanting more. the short version of what I said is "full of features, but sparse content".

Edit: another example I could give would be imagine an incredibly well written book, but with the summery thing on the back being uninteresting and seems like it was written by a non english speaker with a thesaurus, Would you want to buy that book not knowing anything about it other than that poorly written summery and a couple of reviews saying its the best thing since sliced bread? I wouldn't
