For those who havent seen it before, this is a quick explanatory vid of Teardown. Theres so much in there that reminds me of the possibilities of BeamNG, it ticks the same boxes (except the superior driving experience of Beamng) also things that looks like it could be incooperated in Beamng in a perfect future. Whats intresting beyond the voxels usage in the game is that he has made alot of the graphics such as his own raytracing himself. That and volumetric smoke, fog and so on.
Been keeping an eye on this for a while, it's really interesting. On Twitter the author posted several demo videos for his engine in the past, which probably led to the creation of that game. It's the same person that made some of my favorite games on mobile, such as 'Do Not Commute' or 'Smash Hit', which all look and play fantastic.
I agree, the little knowledge i have id say it combined with beamngs physics would really demand too much from most cpus. --- Post updated --- Yeah, i discovered it not that long ago, a few months maybe. It ticks all my indie game galore-boxes. Ok, didnt know that, ill have too try those games
I've been checking for more news on this almost daily now, it's only been since red faction: guerrilla that we've had such in depth destruction. This is just another level
