I'm creating these custom taillights, bumper and trunk. Everything seems to work well except taillights glass is too dark. Still transparent but dark. (even it looks quite nice I'd like to know what I'm doing wrong.)

Would you mind to provide us the files so we can have a closer look?

    Hey,

it might be that the missing UVs are causing that. Unfortunately whenever I saved the dae, after adding UVs to the taillight glass, the UVs got removed again. o_O

So please add UVs to these meshes which roughly fit the UVs of the stock taillights to test. Thanks in advance.

I see.. well I'm not sure what you mean but as far as I know mappings should be right? I'm not really good with these UVs things though..

    Wow, that's weird!

No UVs for me in Maya + I wasn't able to load the file in Blender...

May I ask you which dae exporter you're using?

Iirc there were some problems with the stock Autodesk DAE exporter in 3ds max. We're using the OpenCollada exporter to export dae files from 3ds max...

Interesting. I guess I'm using stock 3ds max exporter. (export selected -> Autodesk Collada (*.DAE) It opens "FBX Export (Ver: 2014.0.1)"

EDIT: Open Collada solved this problem, thank you much meywue :)
