I made a taxi skin for the 80's pessima, and I broke something. Could someone tell me what I did wrong?
First, the file containing the skin picture should be DDS. Second, remove those '~$ssima_belasco_taxi.jbeam' and '~$terials.cs' files. Third, it says that the folder is invalid or corrupted.
I don't know. When I tried to delete the aforemention files, I couldn't do it and an error message showed up. When I tried to put Pessima folder (after copying it to desktop and removing those two files) back into the zip file, a message saying "The operation couldnt be completed because the destination file is invalid or corrupted" showed up.
1. Those two files were not needed. 2. The texture file needed to be DDS. 3. I don't know what caused the folder to be corrupted. If that happens, it is better to move files to another one and delete the old folder. 4. The folder with your skin was named "belasco taxi", but in materials file (line 5) it was referenced as "belasco_taxi". 5. Same with globalSkin name: it was "Belasco Taxi", but in materials file it was referenced as "Belasco_Taxi". In general, I advise not to use "space" in file names. Use "_" instead.
@Fera - Did you pack your mod using the in-game packer? The in-game packer isn't very reliable in my experience - I've seen the game generate zips which the game couldn't load. I recommend a program called 7-zip which is very reliable and is free open source software. If used correctly it is entirely reliable.
Please mark the thread fixed! IIRC you can click "Thread Tools" on the OP in order to find that option.
