Sunburst easily broken with any data change. Anyone know a solution?

Every time I mod the sunburst it results in this:


This isn't new, it's been happening since a year ago when I try to mod it every now and then but I recently figured out it's not my fault.

I deleted all mods, I deleted the entire sunburst file, then brought it back via steams,

"verify integrity of game files"

It worked fine. I simply amplify values in the stage 2 internals for a fun power increase. I change nothing else, yet the car breaks like the picture above.



Does anybody know why?

I put the engine file on here to show it's normal.
