There are mods out there that use it already, the Devs sorta have more things to do than to deal with shifter animations

PS bold font kinda like capital letters its like you're shouting something

The Bolide Track Toy has something simpler.
When you shift gears, the shifter moves into the gear you are in, but without any animations.
This wouldn't be very hard to implement, as official cars already have this for automatic transmissions.

Please try to use a descriptive title instead of clickbait. Yes. It is doable and mods have done it but when the devs thought about it they already had 20+ cars in the game and its not JUST having the shifter follow the gears you have selected like with the auto, but if they wanna do it properly they would have to use the shifter follow and mimick EXACTLY a real shift H pattern movement in the game and outside the game, or at least that's why i think they aren't working on that feature. Since a gear isn't exactly "Its 1st or 2nd or 3rd or neutral" but rather an analogue system of levers that moves the shifter around
