I've always found that the old Pessima is the weakest vehicle in the game in regards to front wheel strength. This is especially magnified when it comes to rallies. I'm not usually doing anything crazy when this happens either, sometimes I'll do a slide and it breaks, once it broke doing a 180 on an asphalt surface, and it has broken several times just falling into the sand off of an asphalt surface.
I had to look up this thread to say that i feel the same. Just happened while I was doing an quickplay. I had spun out with the official rally edition of it and i came to an complete stop. Front wheels were at full lock left. I downhifted from like third to reverse(clutch assist on) and outta nowhere the front left axle broke. (Pic after it happened. Haven't moved the car.)
