Strange gearing on a lot of cars?

    has anyone noticed a lot of cars have overly long first gears but then the gears after that have no spacing so they get a low af top speed but also horrible acceleration? really noticeable on "fast" cars like the bastion where it almost stalls if you dont dump the clutch
